Training and Experience
Following a career of 23 years as a Secondary School teacher of Geography and History,
I graduated with a Fine Art degree from Lincoln University in 2009. I now work as a
freelance artist and live in Rutland. My work is almost entirely painting, and I have
recently focused on contemporary interpretations of the built environment. My interest in
architecture has led me to make a particular study of the restoration of St Pancras Station
in London, and this has inspired me to create a number of paintings which originally were
assembled as an installation piece. I also paint portraits and other subjects including still
life and landscape.
